Day 2: Spring Break in Baja California, México

Day 2: Puerto Santo Tomas, BC to San Quintin, BC
  • We lingered by the Pacific, but drove inland and south to San Quintin

La Bufadora menor.

Oatmeal time.

We camped at the distant point. Punto Santo Tomas.

Steep topography, good roads and green grass.
  • The road was exciting but not too many surprises.  San Quintin felt like a highway town.  The bay was focused on supporting commercial and tourist fishing but little else.  Hotel Jardines was relaxing and muy tranquilo.  An ideal hide-away just the right distance off the highway.
"No one said it needed to be strapped down."

Agribusiness is king along this stretch of highway

Wide load.

This hotel is as nice as everyone says it is.
